네리마구

네리마구는 일본 애니메이션 산업의 출발점 중 하나로 꼽힙니다. 오이즈미 일대에 제작 스튜디오가 모여 있었고, 지금도 관련 회사가 다수 있습니다. 역 주변에 관련 조형물과 안내가 설치돼 있어, 이 사실을 구 차원에서 알리고 있습니다.

한편 이 구에는 후지즈카가 있습니다. 후지즈카는 에도 시대에 후지산을 실제로 오르기 어려웠던 서민들이 대신 오르려고 흙을 쌓아 만든 인공 언덕입니다. 후지산의 용암을 가져다 붙인 곳도 있습니다. 도쿄에 여러 곳 남아 있는데, 대부분 신사 경내에 있고 평소에는 오를 수 없게 막아 둔 곳이 많습니다.

여기서 주의할 점이 있습니다. 후지즈카는 개방일이 정해진 곳이 많습니다. 1년에 며칠만 여는 곳도 있어서, 날짜를 확인하지 않고 가면 울타리 밖에서 보고 돌아오게 됩니다. 상시 오를 수 있는 곳과 그렇지 않은 곳이 섞여 있으니, 방문 전에 꼭 확인해야 합니다.

練馬区は日本のアニメーション産業の出発点の一つに数えられる。大泉一帯に制作スタジオが集まり、今も関連会社が多数ある。駅周辺に関連する造形物や案内が設置され、この事実を区として発信している。

一方この区には富士塚がある。富士塚は、江戸時代に実際に富士山へ登ることが難しかった庶民が、代わりに登るために土を盛って築いた人工の山だ。富士山の溶岩を運んで貼り付けた場所もある。東京に複数残っているが、多くは神社の境内にあり、普段は登れないようにしてあるところが多い。

ここで注意すべき点がある。富士塚は開放日が決まっている場所が多い。年に数日しか開かないところもあるので、日付を確かめずに行くと柵の外から眺めて帰ることになる。常時登れる場所とそうでない場所が混在しているため、訪問前に必ず確認したい。

Nerima is counted among the birthplaces of the Japanese animation industry. Production studios clustered around Oizumi, and many related companies remain. The ward promotes the fact directly, with sculptures and signage installed around the station.

The ward also has a fujizuka. These are artificial mounds raised in the Edo period so that ordinary people, for whom climbing the real Mount Fuji was out of reach, could make the ascent by proxy. Some were faced with lava carried from the mountain itself. Several survive across Tokyo, most within shrine grounds, and many are fenced off from everyday climbing.

One caution: many fujizuka open only on set days, some just a handful each year. Turn up without checking and you will be looking at it from outside the fence. Since some can be climbed year-round and others cannot, confirm before you go.
