메구로구는 세련된 주택가로 알려져 있지만, 이 사이트가 다루는 두 곳은 그 이미지와 정반대입니다. 하나는 1939년 창업한 돈카츠집이고, 다른 하나는 세계에서 유일한 기생충 전문 박물관입니다. 공통점은 한 가지를 극단까지 파고들었다는 것입니다.

돈카츠집 쪽은 규칙이 특이합니다. 앉은 순서가 아니라 들어온 순서로 이름을 부르고, 손님의 체격에 따라 커틀릿에 넣는 칼집 수를 바꿉니다. 이것은 점주 인터뷰에서 나온 내용입니다. 카운터에 앉으면 튀기는 과정이 전부 보이는데, 이 집에서는 그 자체가 볼거리로 여겨집니다.

기생충관은 입장료가 없습니다. 기부로 운영되며, 8.8m 촌충 표본 옆에 같은 길이의 끈이 걸려 있어 직접 들어 길이를 가늠할 수 있습니다. 규모는 작지만 전시 밀도가 높고, 이런 곳이 주택가 한복판에 조용히 있다는 사실 자체가 이 구를 상징합니다.

It is small but densely packed, and the fact that such a place sits quietly in the middle of a residential district says everything about this ward.
